President’s Innovation Award

2013 Black LaurelWe were very honored to have recently received the Presidents Innovation Award at the Burbank International Film Festival.  Fritz Coleman was on hand to present us with the award and it was a wonderful opportunity for us to once again share the GO PUBLIC message that public education works and that we, as a nation, need to value and champion our local public schools.  Public education serves the common good and should not be turned in to a commodity.  Our public school teachers, administrators and staff are our first responders for children, all children, no matter their race, income level or disability.  If we adequately support and appropriately resource our public schools, we will be better able to meet the needs of our nations’ children while they are still upstream rather than having to rescue them downstream.  Let’s be proactive rather than reactive. Making public education our nations’ highest priority is common sense.  GO PUBLIC!
