Ways to Host a GO PUBLIC Screening

You can sponsor a screening through a community group or show the film at a school, on a college campus, in a public library or host a screening in your home followed by a discussion.  Having a post film panel of  local education experts is a great way to explore the issues addressed in the film from a local perspective and encourages audience engagement. Please contact the GO PUBLIC team and we will help you expore the best option for your group.

2. EVENTIZE YOUR SCREENINGour screening. Here’s the trick though – you need to pre-sell a certain amount of tickets in order for the event to be confirmed!

If you would like, you can also line up local education experts to be on a panel following the film. Tugg will help arrange for mics and chairs at the theatre. Screening GO PUBLIC provides an excellent opportunity to engage your community in conversation about the issues facing your local public schools and how they can become more engaged in advocacy.

3. SPREAD THE WORD
Once you get your event page, it’s up to you to spread the word to your community and let folks know the event will only take place if enough tickets – the “threshold” – are reserved before a deadline.

4. ENJOY “GO PUBLIC” ON THE BIG SCREEN
Once enough tickets are sold, your event will be confirmed and you can sit back and enjoy the show! If there aren’t enough tickets sold, then no one will be charged for the reservation and the screening will not happen.
